What happens at auditions?
We have fun! We start by taking a group of students into one of our classrooms for a vocal warm up. The group part of the audition ends with a little acting from lines we’ve pulled from the show! Once the group audition is over, each student will come into the classroom to sing for our team! This portion is quick and easy, each student should prepare 30 seconds of any musical or Disney show.
what should students wear to auditions?
Comfy clothes and shoes are perfect for auditions. Remember, we’ll be dancing and moving around!
What if we can’t make it to auditions?
We understand everyone is busy! If you can’t make it, just send us a video with the student singing 30 seconds of any musical or Disney show.
How soon will students find out their part?
We know it’s tough to wait! We always try to announce the cast list within 24 -48 hours of auditions. We will send this out by email to parent and student emails.
do we need to fill out any paperwork?
Just a little! If your family is new to ITA, we’ll need you to fill out our registration packet. If you want to save some time, you can download our New Family Registration Packet here.
If your family has been to ITA before but the student auditioning is new to us, you only need to fill out the New Student and Audition Sheet.
If the student auditioning has participated in a production or camp at ITA in the past all you need to bring is this Audition Sheet!
